Penultimate Post 2010

One day to go, not many images left to post, so driftwood and a chance shot of the moon through a gap in the clouds seems so appropriate.

Love the moon shot Ron – it looks to me like a snow moon with the haze around it!

All of these are great. I love the deep, rich colors in the two beachy shots, and that moon is oh so cool!

“Driftwood on the rocks” almost looks like a petrified lizard.
In “driftwood IN the rocks”, what is the spotted, 3-point item? Shell? Piece of driftwood? Rock? And do you find agates on your beaches?

If you mean the item attached to the driftwood by a bit of seaweed, and is just below a small black pebble, that is part of a coral branch which regularly wash up on our beaches. The Worlds Largest Coral reef “The Great Barrier Reef” Starts about 200 miles North of here, I never even saw this little bit. No on the agates wouldn’t they sink in the water?

The moon shot is super! I like being able to see hints of the clouds in the sky also.

At least it is not a full moon, we would have to listen to you howl! 🙂
I love the rich colors and the textures in the driftwood shots, but that half moon wins my heart…where’s the broomstick?

When I was a very little girls, we had a record of Burl Ives singing “The Mon’s the North Wind’s Cookie.” I listened to it over and over. Looking at your photo of the moon, I can hear it again in my head.
