I think your walk paid off…love the birds especially! Also the rock and leaf is quite interesting on that reddish dirt…nice contrast!

That redish dirt is a larger Moss covered boulder!

That was a great walk, Ron. I love that puff ball toadstool. I like that name Noosa. The county that I came from in Alabama was Coosa.

Love those bird shots! They are so pretty. What kind of birds are they?

A Father Magpie (Pure white neck feathers) teaching an almost adolescent chick (Dirty grey neck feathers and always squakking) where the good stuff can be found.

Thanks! Never saw a magpie before. Have heard of them, but never seen one.

You’re welcome, I have posted them before, they sing nearly as well as Butcherbirds.

Your magpies look different than ours. Still black and white, but different feather patterns.

Hit “post” too soon. Also wanted to say I originally thought that rock was a bird egg! 😀

In a place called Mount Tambourine just below Brisbane they have Concretions that we call Thunder Eggs, http://www.aussieminerals.com/Australian%20rough%20Thundereggs.htm This link is to a Sales site but the images show what is inside, such rocks.
