I went for a small walk while Sally satisfied her Nicotine habit and here are some of the things I saw.

The days were fairly overcast with only intermittent sun patches but walking around in shirtsleeve near the end of November, sure beats being in the Northern Hemisphere, going on some of the photos I’ve been seeing! LOL

Got there too late to catch all the big names at the Waterhole. Witnessed this statue commencing his whittling.
Resisted the tempting country fare. Thought the markets seemed a little underdone, an opinion obviously shared by the best behaved pooch on earth!

Went back to Noosa for a few days break and a chance to refresh my camera eye. I was lucky enough to catch this young chap working the NET in an old fashioned way. His father is seen in the first shot, but it was the determination of youth that won me over, check the legs in the last shot.

The top two shots were taken through a cyclone mesh fence, at the back of a factory, and the others in Sally’s or our neighbours garden.

Wandering seemingly oblivious to the traffic, I will swear I heard this Scrub Turkey muttering to itself, ” Thank Heavens I DON”T live in America – This time of year”. Happy Thanksgiving Yanks!

I love how all three of these have overcome adversity to stand out in the world and add to it’s beauty.

This first shot was taken down by the Dunes where I gott that orange burr with the green background and I think it started as a crab hole, but going by the size of the hole, something larger resides there now. The second shot is one that didn’t quite work, but as it was of a fairly green Ladybug, I published anyway. This is the best of the shots I got before it flew away!

My neice Jodie is over for a short time from Calgary Alberta Canada, and on a trip to the Northern Territory, she captured these two iconic Out Back shots. The colour of the soil around the Devils marbels is what the Outback generally resembles but we have had heaps of rain and the shot of her near the termite mound, (Not the biggest there – but closest to the track) shows the uncommon look of a Green Outback, a real wonder for all.

Intermittent pushing of the envelope has always been a trait of mine, and it would seem that I have pushed too hard with Madelaine (MadCap) as she won’t accept my comments on her blog or respond when I use the contact me link there. If anyone knows her please ask as it is quite off putting and most of you tell me when I have stepped over the line, right Mike, Tammy Karem et al.
Be away for a few days so some colour to remember me by in your Monochrome Lives LOL
